How Fansit makes money
Fansit keeps no percentage of creator earnings. Most platforms take a cut of every tip, subscription and PPV unlock. We don't.
Our revenue comes from FanBucks package pricing on the fan side — what fans pay when they buy a FanBucks package — never from a cut of what creators earn.
What creators get
Every FanBuck a fan spends on a creator counts toward that creator's earnings, and every FanBuck pays out at a fixed $0.01 (100 FanBucks = $1.00).
If a fan tips a creator 100 FanBucks, the creator is paid $1.00 for it. Nothing is taken off in between.
Payouts are automatic, twice a month, by bank transfer. See How creator earnings work.
Why we did it this way
A percentage cut forces creators to think about pricing in two ways at once: the gross price fans see and the net they actually keep. With no percentage, there's one number — a creator sets a price in FanBucks and knows exactly what it pays out.
It also lets us run promotions on FanBucks packages without touching creator economics. Bonus FanBucks pay out at the same $0.01 as any other FanBuck, so creators are never surprised by a "promotional" payout.
What we charge for
Beyond FanBucks package pricing, the only charges that can reach a creator are:
- Chargeback fee — when a fan disputes a transaction with their bank, the disputed amount plus the greater of $20 or 5% of the disputed amount is deducted from the creator's earnings. This covers the processor's chargeback fee and the cost of contesting it. See Understanding chargebacks.
- Backup tax withholding, when required by IRS rules.
That's it. No listing fees, no featured-creator auctions, no "boost" purchases, no API fees.
Pricing changes
We may update FanBucks package pricing or the creator payout rate based on processor costs and market conditions. Material changes to the payout rate are communicated through the Platform or by email at least 7 days before they take effect, where reasonably practicable.
