How creator earnings work
Fans pay you in FanBucks, every FanBuck you earn pays out at a fixed $0.01, and Fansit keeps no percentage. Payouts go to your bank automatically twice a month.
The flow
- A fan buys FanBucks in a package.
- The fan spends them on you — a tip, subscription, PPV unlock or stream.
- All of those FanBucks count toward your earnings. Nothing is deducted.
- You're paid automatically at $0.01 per FanBuck (100 FanBucks = $1.00), by bank transfer, twice a month.
What you see in Earnings
Earnings shows what you earned in the period you pick, as FanBucks with the dollar amount beside it, and how that compares with the period before. There's one number — no fee line, no gross and net — because Fansit keeps no percentage.
The Payouts tab shows your next pay date, the amount so far for the current pay period, and your payout history. The Transactions tab lists every earning and can be exported as a CSV.
When you get paid
- Earnings from the 1st–15th are paid on the 25th.
- Earnings from the 16th–end of the month are paid on the 10th of the next month.
- The minimum payout is 2,000 FanBucks ($20). Smaller amounts roll into your next payout.
- Payouts go by bank transfer (ACH) to your U.S. bank account. It's the only payout method.
- A W-9 is required before you can add your bank details.
- There's no Withdraw button and no on-demand payout — it all happens on its own.
See Payout schedule for the details.
Automatic payouts aren't switched on yet. Until they are, the Payouts tab reads "Payouts start soon" instead of a pay date.
What you earn per content type
| Content | What you earn per FanBuck a fan spends |
|---|---|
| Subscription | $0.01 |
| Tip | $0.01 |
| PPV unlock | $0.01 |
| Private stream ticket | $0.01 |
| Tip menu item | $0.01 |
| Custom request | $0.01 |
The rate is the same for every kind of earning. Bonus FanBucks fans get with bigger packages pay out at the same $0.01.
Refunds and chargebacks
If a fan's purchase is refunded before its payout goes out, it comes out of that payout. When a fan disputes a charge with their bank instead, the disputed amount and a chargeback fee are deducted. See Understanding chargebacks.
Rate changes
Material changes to the payout rate are communicated through the Platform and by email at least 7 days before they take effect, where reasonably practicable.
Taxes
You're an independent contractor, responsible for tracking and paying taxes on your earnings. See Taxes and Form 1099-K.
Where to manage payouts
Earnings → Payouts is where you add your W-9 and bank details, see your next payout and review your payout history.
